Costa Rica hosts a new edition of Intcomexpo

On October 27, Costa Rica played host to Intcomexpo edition number 16. The event brought together the best brands and manufacturers in the market.

The Marriot Belén hotel was the site for the meeting between hundreds of resellers and a total of 27 participating brands, which covered all the business lines with the best products and services of the technological world.

From 8.30 a.m. Intcomexpo opened its doors to more than 700 channels from San José and other parts of this Central American country.

The event also offered several talks to teach the participants about different processes and new developments in the digital field. Among the talks was one on “Security for all”, which explained the multiple systems of the electronic security solution of Intcomex (CCTV) and other special projects.

The electronics group Furukawa held a talk that described the dynamics of digital transformation with wiring as a backbone of the data center of the future.

Intcomex cloud gave a conference on the best sales practices in the cloud through CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) in which attendees were able to discover and learn about cloud business strategies using successful case studies. The brand Ubiquiti held a talk about unified communications solutions offered for the business sector.

Another of the most important events was the raffle by Dell of a car, open to attendees who made purchases of the brand´s equipment. For each machine purchased, the buyer received a scratch card (and two if the purchase was a server). The scratch cards had prizes including gift cards, computer equipment and a trip to New York City.

The happy winner of the vehicle was the company Almacenes Coopelesca, a retailer in the north of the country that has 5 stores, where end users can purchase Dell branded products.

The closing of the event was in the capable hands of the local group Marta y los del Barrio, who bade farewell to a successful fair with their catchy tunes. The channels enjoyed a day of technological innovations and marketing talks.

At the end of the fair, Aida Hernández, Costa Rica’s marketing manager, said that “once again, Intcomex ratifies its leadership in Costa Rica by holding the most important technology exhibition in the country.”

Likewise, Hernández thanked the loyalty of the huge number of clients who were present. “We are pleased to have been able to show you the best solutions in products and services, which are at your disposal, always with the unrivaled support of Intcomex.” Hernandez added.
