The Role

Possess and develop a strong understanding of the product category, market, and growth opportunities in order to develop a vision and then implement strategic and targeted action plans to achieve goals. 

Research product landscape to keep current with industry trends and pricing dynamics in the consumer-product goods space.  Present short term and long-term strategic category business plans and status reports to upper management.  Monitor sales reports and conduct financial analysis in order to identify business opportunities and identify and close gaps in order to meet and exceed key performance indicators.  Actively manage, mentor, and develop a team of external buyers and internal sales representatives.  Deliver results while dealing with lots of ambiguity and change.  Ability to influence and work well with other departments.  Ability to adjust to the strong sales-oriented requirement. The Preferred Candidate: • Marketing, Management and/or Business Degree. • Experience building long-term relationships with vendors. • Meticulous attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering results while working on multiple projects. • Demonstrate technical knowledge and depth in related products and technology. • Commercially minded with exceptional negotiating and relationship-building competencies. • Strong sales and administrative skills. • Self-driven with superior oral, written and interpersonal relationship skills. • Own and operate a reliable motor vehicle.
