The Ecuadorian branch of Intcomex recently wrapped up its 2024 Road Show series, successfully reaching 480 resellers across 8 cities. The event attracted nearly 680 attendees and featured 30 major brands, bringing the latest technological innovations and business opportunities to the region from March to November.
The Road Show made stops in Ambato, Machala, Riobamba, Santo Domingo, Loja, Cuenca, Ibarra, and Manta, and its main goal was to achieve a 10% sales growth in provincial markets, according to Stalyn Freire, Top Volume Sales Manager at Intcomex Ecuador. The event also focused on building customer loyalty in its Breadth and Elite categories, organizing exclusive business meetings with top-volume resellers, and highlighting key sales tools like the Intcomex webstore and the new dropshipping service.
Freire pointed out that a big part of the success of these events was expanding Intcomex’s product portfolio across its channels, as well as the year-over-year growth of top brands such as Dell Technologies, Lenovo, HP, JBL, Zebra, Hikvision, Microsoft, HPE, LG, ViewSonic, Belkin, Kingston, Xiaomi, ZTE, Logitech, Epson, Cisco, DJI, and Gigabyte. Exclusive brands like Forza, Nexxt Infrastructure, Nexxt Home, Klip Xtreme, and Xtech also played a big role in driving the success of the initiative.
“These were truly innovative events,” emphasized Freire. “They brought new strategies for business growth, updated store formats, and gave resellers direct access to our negotiation tools. To add even more value, we brought in a professional coach who led a masterclass packed with practical business tips. The resellers were thrilled with the content—we’ve never offered anything like it in these cities, especially not from a distributor.”
The Road Shows weren’t just about business—they also provided networking and entertainment opportunities. Attendees enjoyed cocktail demonstrations by talented mixologists and had the chance to win prizes in fun raffles, keeping the energy high throughout the events.
